Laura Howe, MD is board certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. Dr. Howe enjoys treating all types of allergic conditions and immune deficiency, but also has a special interest in food allergies and brings with her a wealth of experience and expertise in pediatric allergy. Raised in Traverse City, Dr. Howe remained in Michigan for her all of her medical training and practice.

After earning her undergraduate degree from Hope College and graduating from medical school at Michigan State University, Dr. Howe completed her Internal Medicine & Pediatrics residency at the University of Michigan, where she further specialized in Allergy & Immunology. Dr Howe is a member of several professional organizations including the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, and the Michigan Allergy and Asthma Society, where she is serving on the board as the current vice president. She has conducted research in the quality of life of food allergic children and in the safety of the influenza vaccine in egg-allergic patients. Prior to her return to Traverse City, Dr. Howe practiced within the Division of Allergy & Clinical Immunology at the University of Michigan until she moved home to Traverse City in 2015 and joined Bayside Allergy. She is committed to professional and passionate care for her patients of all ages.

She lives in Traverse City with her husband, Mike and their three young children. She enjoys running half marathons, downhill skiing, learning to golf, and all of the activities that Northern Michigan has to offer.
